Oncology and Haematology
Klinik Hirslanden is among the leading providers in the field of oncology and haematology in Europe, with an outstanding spectrum of treatments using the most modern technology and the best medical infrastructure.
Diagnosis
Medical Oncology
Patients can submit their own scans by internet and in many countries we feature scanning centres which can provide these in the required digital format. Some also offer open MRI for larger or claustrophobic patients. Open MRI also allows a greater range of positions to be imaged, which can avoid the need for exploratory surgery.
On the basis of the diagnosis specialised teams of physicians decide on the best therapy procedures for each individual patient, which may be surgery, radiotherapy/ radiosurgery, medical oncology or a combination of these. Whichever of these courses is the best for you, Klinik Hirslanden offers an advanced range of options and high standards of care.

Latest medical technologies
Private medical centres
In medical oncology chemotherapy as well as hormonal or immunotherapies are used. In order to minimise side effects more effectively regular specialist examinations during and immediately after therapy are essential.
Surgery
Minimally invasive operation technologies are used wherever possible. The advantages are less pain, quicker mobility, shorter rehabilitation and minimal scar formation.n urology Klinik Hirslanden has taken a further step towards greater precision with da Vinci® minimally invasive ('keyhole') robotic surgery.
Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery
It has many years of experience in cancer care, from diagnosis to rehabilitation. This enables both the medical and nursing staff to anticipate and care for the needs and concerns of cancer patients in a calm and secure environment.
International patients will normally have had their diagnosis already, but Klinik Hirslanden offers full diagnostic facilities including magnetic resonance tomography (MRI), computer tomography (CT) and nuclear medicine.
