Paediatric Neurosurgery has long been a seperate speciality and a separate team of neurosurgeons is devoted especially to the treatment of children and adolescents.

The Clinic of Pediatric Haematology and Oncology is one of the largest clinics of its kind in Germany and in Europe.

Proton therapy is an advanced radiation treatment that is especially suitable for children.
Children are very susceptible to developing secondary cancers after radiotherapy, but proton therapy exposes healthy tissues to much lower levels of radiation. This makes proton therapy a much gentler and safer form of treatment, with special benefits for young children and the elderly.
